A brand new roof needs replacing. Your home of 20 years gutted to the studs. This is the latest harsh reality for the Istre family.
After being devastated by Hurricanes Laura and Delta, the Istre family is living in a camper behind their home. Laura brought loads of physical damage, with Delta bringing in water soon after. Their home was previously damaged in 2005 when Hurricane Rita came through Lake Charles, and now they have to relive that time all over again. They stated, "one of the toughest things is [we] always have Christmas here every year. It will be the first year in six years to not do that. We want to move forward and be back to the things we had".
Families all over Southwest Louisiana will not be in their homes this holiday season. Can you help our neighbors as they recover from two back-to-back storms?
